Mobile City Council President C.J. Small has called a committee meeting ahead of a planned investigation into Mayor Sandy Stimpson’s administration after fallout from his decision to place Police Chief Paul Prine on administrative leave.
Monday marks the 50th anniversary of Mobile native Hank Aaron hitting his 715th career home run. He finished his career with 755 dingers, which was the most all time at the time. Barry Bonds finished his career with 762 homers, which is now the all-time most. Bonds is suspected of steroid use during the second half of his career and because of this was left out of the baseball hall of fame.
