Church mission committee chairs, mission team leaders, staff with mission and outreach responsibilities and others are invited to the January 15 Mission Leaders Network Event from 10 am until 1 pm at St. Timothy UMC in Stone Mountain. This annual gathering of mission leaders will be a time of networking and sharing ideas and practices which might work for you in your setting. Winston Worrell of World Methodist Evangelism Institute will share the work of WMEI and “Bringing Home the Methodist Movement.” Rev. Dr. Judy Chung of United Methodist Global Ministries will share about the “UMC Mission and North Georgia.” Rev. Dr. Kevin Murriel will share his insight into the legacy of Martin Luther King, Jr. and how churches can better connect in our communities using King’s approaches. After each presentation we will enjoy table discussions around the topics as we push deeper into application in our ministry setting.
