SMI Conference

The SMI movement was developed to equip children, youth and family ministries to embrace a long-lasting impactful plan for ministry in their local church. The foundation of our Four Building Blocks (vision, relationship, spiritual truth and systems) have become the cornerstones of who we are. With this foundation in mind we are pleased to form a new ministry partnership with Ministry Architects.

We are thrilled to have Mark Devries along with the rest of his ministry team leading us at the 2016 SMI Conference. Mark Devries is founder and president of Ministry Architects (2002) and has coached a wide variety of ministry volunteers and professionals across the United States and the world. Mark is the author of several books, including Family-Based Youth Ministry and Sustainable Youth Ministry and the co-author of The Most Important Year of a Man’s/Woman’s Life, The Indispensable Youth Pastor and Before You Hire a Youth Pastor. Mark is a sought-after speaker and has taught at a wide assortment of colleges and seminaries.
