Mentoring relationships in ministry are of great benefit. The ability to share best practices, to offer guidance, to be available to listen, and to encourage someone can enhance their work as a pastor.
The Alabama-West Florida Conference Board of Ordained Ministry is offering a new training event called,
Taking Clergy Mentoring to the Next Level. Persons completing this training will be assigned by their district superintendents to serve as mentors for part-time and full-time local pastors enrolled in Course of Study.
All elders and deacons in full connection, provisional elders and deacons, associate members, and local pastors that have completed Course of Study are asked to participate in one mentor training session.
The mentor training event will be offered on these dates:
There is no cost to attend the training, which should conclude around noon.
Additional trainings will be offered periodically, as needed, for those who are unable to attend these initial sessions.
