Fountain of Love Offering Focuses On Mother’s Day

January 21, 2016
(Methodist Homes for the Aging) - For many of us, our parents and grandparents hold the most important positions in our lives. We celebrate these family members on special days during the year, reflecting on their influence in our lives and to show love, appreciation, or special remembrance. That is why Methodist Homes has chosen Mother’s Day for a Fountain of Love Offering emphasis in 2016. The Fountain of Love Fund provides financial assistance to older adults living in a Methodist Home retirement community who find that they can no longer pay for their entire care. Because of the support of the Alabama-West Florida Conference and its churches, no resident has ever been asked to leave a Methodist Home due to their inability to pay.

Free offering materials are available for ordering now at www.methodisthomes.org/FountainOfLovePortal.html. Though our emphasis is on Mother’s Day, offerings and speaker requests are honored throughout the year. It is through the Fountain of Love Fund that needy residents at Methodist Homes are able to continue living in the place that they call “home.”  The Methodist Homes in the Conference are Wesley Gardens (Montgomery), Wesley Manor (Dothan), Mathison Retirement Community (Panama City), and Wesley Haven Villa (Pensacola).

Last fiscal year the Fountain of Love awarded more than $410,000 to residents in need. A large part of this program’s success is because of the churches that faithfully participate in a Fountain of Love Offering. Thank you, in advance, for making the Fountain of Love Offering a priority in your church!
