Worldwide, the AIDS epidemic is wiping out entire communities/cultures of people. Of the 40 million people infected around the world, more than 30 million have no access to medicine to treat the virus.

The Great Plains AIDS Ambassadors Leadership Team has recommended that $1,000 of the conference UMGAF be allotted for scholarships each calendar year.
Scholarship funds will be available to Conference AIDS Ambassadors to attend the National UMGAF Conference held biannually, the International UMGAF Conference or other pertinent HIV AIDS workshops or conferences.
Local United Methodist churches in Nebraska and Kansas have an opportunity to apply for the grant "Working for an AIDS-Free World Grant." The grant is funded by the 25 percent of the Global AIDS Fund offering that stays in our Conference for local AIDS projects.
